blackwater rafting!

Damn fools. Whatever happed to non dangerous sports like golf or tennis? If I have to pick one, my dangerous, high-adrenalin adventure sport choice is No. 2. No. 5 is out of the question. Uck. The luge without snow is confusing. Everyone can bungee. Jet boating up river sounds deadly, and not quite sure what Zorbing is… So tandem sky-diving it is š Love your postings and look forward to them. Take care of each other and be careful. Miss and love you both.

Just to clarify, the luge thing is down a concrete run on a four-wheeled contraption. Looks pretty cool.
Thanks Aunt Jo! Keep those votes coming people!

To vote for the second time, blackwater rafting seems the most unique. street luge is on the x games.

Blackwater rafting gets my vote. Just be careful about it (i.e. let Lisa do the planning).

Hey guys-
This is so wonderful to learn of Lisa and Marc’s most excellent adventures!! Fred and I definitely say the Absailing into a water-filled cavern and riding a tube into the depths of the earth, e.g. blackwater rafting. Sounds very cool! By the way can you drink Kava while riding the tube?
Miss you all!
Kristen

As for kava, I probably could, but others might find it difficult.

I say none of the above. Try tiger boxing.

We’re saving tiger boxing for India. Along with elephant taunting. We might do a little shark tickling though.

no backing out now, marc! blackwater rafting is a shoo-in!
though i’m awfully amused by my vision of you and lisa tickling sharks š

Ok, now I have to cast my vote. I wanted you to have a chance, Marc, to tell me what frightens you so much about blackwater rafting, but you have not responded to my email! Seriously, man, who would not want to do the blackwater rafting thing? I’d jump at the chance. So, I vote for blackwater rafting. Don’t be a chicken!
ps. You can’t be in New Zealand and not try zorbing, so you should do that, too.

NZ is the home of the bungy, but only do it at the Gorge Bridge in Queenstown (the original). Of the above choices, do that one. (Skydive in Switzerland, over the Alps. Unbeatable.)
I would bypass all the above and swim with the dolphins off the coast just north of Christchurch (forgot the town’s name just now)-you may have sit and wait for good weather a few days.

As i said over the phone, (although i guess its not an official vote til i post it here) i vote for the bungy jumping.

Here’s a good reason not to bungee jump:

Short video, long bungee cord. Don’t worry, though, nobody gets hurt, although it looks pretty painful.

I vote without a doubt for the ZORB, defined as
Free-falling in a huge clear plastic ball down the uneven hillside terrain. When i was in New Zealand they told me the better way to zorb, was to throw a cold bucket of water in the clear plastic ball so you had something to slosh around in. The even better way to zorb is with a hangover,
so i’m told. š
Personally, my favorite adventure when i went to new zeland (and yes, i did luge down a mountain — kids stuff!) was boogie boarding down a sand dune! I highly recommend it! Sounds like you’re having the time of your lives! I am green with envy but very happy for you both. keep the stories coming! Lots of love, Janet
